The Brompton Oratory wedding of Ansty & Joe in the heart of Knightsbridge, London had been in my diary for ages and I had a funny feeling that it was set to be a super day. And how right I was. In the three year and half years I have been lucky to photograph weddings at many hallowed places of worship and there is little doubt in my mind that The Brompton Oratory would have to be one of the best. A stunning Italian Renaissance style Catholic church with influences drawn from Roman Baroque and Sir Christopher Wren. There is a stunning chapel within for the Blessed John Henry Newman as well as numerous smaller chapels within the main church. The decorative mosaic, plaster work and woodwork carvings inside the church left me awestruck. Brompton Oratory is an exceptional church! The wedding reception was held at The Naval Miltary Club (otherwise known as The In and Out Club) in Mayfair, London, again another beautiful building with a rich heritage, stunning architecture and a divine dining room for the wedding breakfast. Opposite is the unspoilt charm of St James’ Square, where we captured some intimate photographs of bride and groom, Ansty & Joe. It was such a perfect wedding day with some great details (I particularly loved the table name idea of famous couples) and I will remember this day for years to come – wedding photography Brompton Oratory , what a joy to behold.
