Some venues have the wow factor simply just due to the way they look. Aesthetic beauty is something that this venue has and wedding photography at The Orangerie Kew Gardens is a joy, pure and simple. Surrounded by 121 historic hectares of unparallelled outdoor space, i.e. The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, this wedding venue is really exceptional even by London standards. Built in 1761 originally as a greenhouse to house orange and lemon trees, The Orangerie is now run as a restaurant during the day and is totally transformed to create an exceptional space for weddings and private events. I adore this place. The scope for photos here is on another scale as newly married couples are welcome to have their photographs taken pretty much wherever they wish. This was my first assignment as a wedding photographer at The Orangerie Kew Gardens though certainly will not be my last. I can’t wait to return.
