Wedding Photography The Italian Villa Poole
I woke up to the sound of torrential rain beating against the bedroom window and breathed a sigh of relief when I realised this was the morning after the night before. If this wedding had taken place today I would be writing a very different blog post. Fortunately for myself and for Helen & Kev, the wedding took place yesterday and the gods were smiling down on us all. When Helen emailed me last year asking whether or not I would be interested in photographing her wedding at The Italian Villa in Poole I couldn’t believe my luck. Growing up in nearby Bournemouth not too far from the New Forest it had always been a dream of mine to photograph a wedding in my home town and then whisk the bride and groom off to the beach for some sneaky photos. But the if, and it was a very big if, was that a lot would depend on the weather. If it rained, my dream would be in tatters. After lots of praying skywards, we were truly blessed with incredible weather and what a joy it was to capture some incredible memories on Sandbanks Beach. It’s no surprise that this place is one of the most expensive places to live on the planet. The beaches are exceptional though my photos don’t really do the place justice. An incredible day for me with such an adorable couple. Helen & Kev, many congrats once again. Thanks for an epic day and one which I will never forget. The beautiful 1950’s Chevrolet, the weather, the guy on the beach who’d lost his wedding ring and was trying to search for it, the couple at The Haven Hotel who were celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary and offered their congratulations to Helen & Kev. There were so many exceptional memories. It was an exceptional day with an exceptional couple.
