For years my parents have been gushing about Dartmouth. “It’s so beautiful”, they would tell me. “You should go there one day.”
So when my friend and old ITV colleague Anna emailed to ask if I was available to photograph her wedding in Dartmouth, I couldn’t believe my luck.
Was I available? Absolutely!
Dartmouth is a gorgeous place and looking through my viewfinder as I photographed the harbour took me straight back to Lake Como. Dartmouth Harbour in the heart of Devon place is beyond divine. The gorgeous harbour with all those painterly coloured houses overlooking it, just wow!
Anna & James married at the gorgeous St Petrox after which the three of us jumped onto a boat and headed for a picture perfect back garden reception. I loved the colour scheme at work and the details of this DIY wedding especially on the tables, most of which was made at home by Anna. And what about those brilliant golden A&J letters behind the head table? All made by Anna’s fair hands! What a talent. It was an incredible day and I can’t believe how lucky Anna & James were with the weather after yet another mixed week. April showers in June! What is going with our summer? HUGE thanks to Anna & James for absolutely everything and thanks again for having me along. I will never forget the time we spent together….especially THAT light in your driveway. I hope you like the show, Jay x
