Where is the barn situated?Right in the heart of Chipping Norton (of course made famous for Amazon Prime’s Clarkson’s Farm…..the location of Jeremy Clarkson‘s Diddly Squat farm shop!), this breathtaking and equally unconventional barn ticks all the boxes. I love the beautiful purpose built bridal suite plus what’s not to love about their elegant gardens, the perfect setting and backdrop for your wedding photographs to be taken in.
Who owns the barn?Merriscourt is the ancestral home of the Astor family, and is situated only a stone’s throw from Daylesford in Oxfordshire, overlooking the breathtaking Cotswolds countryside.
Is it a fully licenced venue?Merriscourt is one of the cutest fully licensed wedding venues in the area. It is ideal for blessings but also perfect for civil wedding ceremonies too, and can take up to 150 wedding guests in The Stone Barn and The White Barn holds up to 130 people. It is the loveliest backdrop for documentary Merriscourt wedding photography. There are some spectacular original period features, inside the barn and around the grounds and gardens.
