Farnham Castle Wedding Photos
Farnham Castle Wedding Photography. I can clearly remember the first email I received from Sarah a year previous. Sarah and Gary were planning a traditional wedding and they'd chosen to marry at Farnham Castle, Surrey, a short drive from Sarah's home. I love castle weddings and having shot at Sudeley Castle before, I had a taste of what to expect so I took a sneaky peak at the website for the venue and was blown away. Farnham Castle is a genuine gem in the Surrey crown and perhaps one the best wedding venues in the county. With a rich history to rival any other castle within one hundred miles, Farnham Castle is exceptional. For more than 800 years the Bishop of Winchester has called this place home and what a home to have!
I'm told that parts of the ancient building date back to the 12th century. Despite the rich heritage, the castle has undergone extensive renovations to thrust it into the 21st century. Though the refurbishments have not undermined the beautiful character of this Grade I listed building.
Sarah & Gary's Farnham Castle Wedding
Sarah & Gary had not one but two beautiful services. Firstly they had a stunning ceremony in the romantic Lantern Hall. After which the three of us escaped for some photos in the grounds before heading indoors for a candlelit blessing in The Norman Chapel. This is one of oldest parts of the castle and made for a perfect setting for the blessing. The reception was held within the splendour of The Great Hall. Make sure you take a look at the incredible florals from Eden Blooms. Exquisite food courtesy of Galloping Gourmet. Thanks so much once again Sarah & Gary for a fabulous day.
