I was born in London and grew up in a lovely town on the South Coast of Dorset. After graduating from University in London I took a job in television and spent more than 10 years working as a Creative, living the dream: writing, producing and directing trailers. It was a great experience that undoubtedly helped to shape me creatively. Yet I felt hollow and unfulfilled. I was in my 30’s, married with three young kids and yearned for a fresh challenge. A chance meeting with legendary photographer David Bailey changed everything and I immediately signed up to study photography at Central St Martins in London after which I jacked in my high paying job, kissed goodbye to my 13th floor office and officially re-branded as a wedding photographer. I saw wedding photography as an incredible opportunity to produce beautiful, fairytale imagery that look more like the latest campaign gracing the pages of Tatler advertising luxury brands like Prada, Burberry or Gucci than the usual run of the mill wedding photographs. I admit, I was pretty ambitious though I realised my dream when my work was featured in Vogue. That was in 2009 and I haven’t looked back since. A large part of my success has been attributed to my calming influence. I steady nerves and set people at ease in an instant. I’m not one of these guys who likes to bark orders. To the contrary. You are more likely to see me moving about quietly and carefully, documenting the day from the shadows. I am a down to earth, normal kind of guy who is equally comfortable working with the girl (and boy) next door as I am with A list celebrities, where discretion is utterly guaranteed. So if you like the idea of creating wedding photography which is a bit more relaxed, more avant garde, more daring, more fun, more modish, more gorgeous and a whole lot more glamorous than the usual homogenous boring, bland wedding photography out there, then I’d love to hear from you. As you might expect my wedding coverage extends across London as well as covering the entire South East of England including Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Kent, Essex, West Sussex, East Sussex, Berkshire, Wiltshire and mainland UK as well as Luxury destination weddings throughout continental Europe and beyond.
